Leading Executive Employment Market Indicator Inches Higher
www.execunet.com — November 13, 2007 — The Recruiter Confidence Index (RCI) climbed higher for the second consecutive month in October, indicating that the executive employment market could remain a bright spot in the economy, as companies continue to recruit top talent at an aggressive pace.
Introduced in May 2003, the Recruiter Confidence Index is based on a monthly survey of executive recruiters conducted by ExecuNet (www.execunet.com), the executive career and business networking organization. Independent analysis of the RCI has confirmed it is a leading indicator for the executive search industry.
According to October's survey of 118 executive recruiters, 61% are confident or very confident the executive employment market will improve during the next six months – up slightly from 60% in September.

"At these levels, the Recruiter Confidence Index indicates that conditions remain favorable for executives interested in exploring new opportunities," says Mark Anderson, President of ExecuNet. "Despite the emergence of several economic headwinds in recent months, companies are recruiting top talent aggressively and showing no signs of slowing down as we head into 2008."
Recruiters' outlook for the three months ahead was also bullish, as 62% are confident or very confident the executive employment market will improve and 81% expect at least a 10% increase in search assignments during this period of time. To keep pace with this executive job growth, 45% of search firms are planning to hire additional staff in the next three months.
